January 6, 2010 SAAC Meeting Minutes - Meeting was held at Firestone Restaurant and bar. - Call to Order at 7:11pm. - Code of Ethics read by: Chef Doug. Agenda - Annual Dues need to be in by January 31st. - New Junior Members were accepted: Jase Jensen, Katie Overbeeke, Amanda Kawchuck, Meghan Corbett, Alisha G. - All approved, and seconded by Debbie. - New Membership Database created for 2010. - Agenda changes: Demo Days cancelled - February 8th to be held at Lethbridge College instead of Taj. - We will be doing the cookie fundraiser next year, but we will be making some changes. - Sending out Thank you cards to the sponsors. - 3rd annual Chili Cook-off to be held in May. Alzheimer Fundraiser - March 26, 2010 at 7pm. - Held at: Medicine Hat Golf and Country Club. - Largest Fundraiser to Date, for our branch. - 220 people. Prep for 250 people - 5 Live Tapas Stations - Each Station will have: 1 Chef, 2 Apprentices/Juniors. - We are trying to secure a Cube Van, to help transport product to the Medicine Hat. - Done service by 11pm(ish), home around 1am. - Each Chef is responsible for securing their own product. - Each Chef must get a wine pairing for their course. 6-10 bottles/station. - Chef Doug acquired: Black and White Saebert Rectangle Plates. - Canadian Linen to supply Tablecloths. - We will be washing all serving vessels at the college. - Need confirmation of people working by: January 29/10 - Must leave Medicine Hat clean. - We want to do this every other year. - Carol @ Alzheimer’s is taking care of all the Logistics: sales, tickets, tent cards, etc. - Ticket sales must go through Carol, not Chef Doug. - Cash Donations in a Cheque. - All Donations must be in to Chef Doug by: March 1st, Debbie will take them to the Hat on March 3rd. - Donations can be: food industry related.
