Tresurer's report:  Still working on bylaws amendments
		    Accepted a fundraising diner for January 22 for Donna and Bert

Vice President:  no report

Presidents report:  Gave treasurer new member sheets and payments.  Dues are due to Doug or Debbie by Jan 31, 2011.
		    Chili cook off was a disappointment becuase of us not knowing about the free food from all other vendors
		    Potato seminar- 21 attended-not great turnout but was successful otherwise.  We made about $160.00
		    Rumball fundraiser-not a good success.  Free food and packaging did not show up.  we made no money.
		    National conference for 2010-still we still owe Doug 269.91.  Will pay as soon as can.
		    We purchased medals for hot salons at a cost of 772.50.
		    Western regional conference march 4-6/2011.  #25 registration and 110 per night.  We will see how funds go to see if we send anyone there.
		    CCF schlorship-did you send it in....if not your not smart.  Free money. Get it done.
    		    Challenges and competitions; you must decide if your going to do it or not By Jan 30.  Let me know and I will give yoiu my full support.
		    March 25 Alzheimers dinner-we have all people lined up to work.  Now we just need to procure food commitments as we do not want to hae to pay 		         for anything.  Also, be looking for silent auction items.  They need to be to me by Mar 7. Daicya and James will provide their vans for 			 transport to Med hat. Menu discussed a little.  We need 5 stations.  So far we have College, SAAC, Chinook Village.
			 Doug is going to be doing the sorbet(strawberry rhubard) and dessert portion.  Debbie will be doing the main entree.  Debbie agreed to 			 supply my portion free of charge.  I also agreed to donate the salad.  All meals need to be gluten free.  Soup will be a roasted garlic 			 	 and wild rice and mushroom bisque.  Salad will be with a sharp cheese.  We have decided to ahve a meeting on Jan 24 to talk about menu 			 	 after the conference call with Carol.
		    April 9 pasta festival; all people have been lined up to work.  Plum has agreed to be our venue. Function will be at noon.Doug will talk to 				  him about the $65 fo our website rather than the $250 donation.
		    Doug presented the membership with a harse but necessary look at our branch.  Do not say you can be available or provide items and then 					 don't.  This is your branch and if you do not care then why should he.  Doug informed us that he had his resignation made and ready to 				 sign becuase he was tired of the antics of a few people.  So the floor was opened for discussion on how we get our members, national and 			 juniors to care more about their commitments in our branch.  Juniors in attendace decided that they want to sit on the board.  They want 			 to be more involved.  They want to be hel more accountable for their actions and commitments.  So the first motion put forward by Debbie 			 Clauss was as follows:
						If a member, National or Junior miss 2 meetings in a row; your membership will be revoked.
						This member can re-apply, pay the dues and become a member again.
						Seconded by Doug Overes  All in favour  No abstentions  
 		    	After a lengthy discussion on junior members becoming a board member the following motion was put forward:
						Junior members in, at least 2nd year, (Apprentice or Diploma), can hold the Branch board positions of Junior 						president, Junior Vice President, Social/membership director, treasurer or secretary; based on experience.  This 						will require a 2 year committment in writing of the junior member.
						Seconded by Doug OVeres  All in favour  No abstnetions
		   Website sponser fees in and we have more than ever.  Keep trying to get your establishments on board.  Its only $65 for a whole year of 					 website advertising and a memberhsip to all our functions.
		   Our next meeting is at Treats Eatery on Monday Feb 7, 2011 at 7pm.  

Junior report:  nothing to report

Education director: not in attendance; nothing to report.

Old news:  January 29 is a bottle drive from 9 to noon.  If you want to be a part of meet me at the college.  Med Hat will do there own on the same day.
