Minutes Of the S.A.A.C meeting Held on June 27, 2011 In Attendance: Ryan, Lawrence, Debbie, Erika, Cheryl, Brian, ryland, Kaylum, Daicya, Kayla and Doug Meeting called to order by _Doug_ at 706 p.m. Seconded by __Ryan_____. President’s Report: [type report here] Vice President’s Report: Calendar ordered is in limbo - still trying to find it. Team Ab - Week prior to Sept 5 to 11 - everynight there will be practice at school (LCC) with Doug. He will be working on his plates. If you want to be apart of yo should be there. 5 pm to midnight each night. Confernce notes: New president: His initiative is for junior mentorship and exchange program Doug and Debbie will be setting out specific guidelines for what we are expecting from our juniors. We have decided to buy one ticket to the honor society dinner for a juior to attend so that they can see what they can look forward to as a national member. Money was taken our for Doug for Visa transaction from conference. It was decided to go ahead with folder fundraiser. We are to purchase the lowest amount possible and then go from there. We decided that those who went to Vancouver will get one for free. The rest will be sold for $19.95. The profit being ours. We will be increasing our junior dues by $5 and the National by $10. This is because the National has decided to do the same increase dues so that $5 from every membership will be put towards the Honour Society. Doug dicussed maybe supplying each person with a jacket but the discussion was never finalized. More discussion to come at a later date. Agenda revision for 2011/2012 - Pasta day will be on April 7. We will purchase a banner for this day. We will be having one in Lethbridge and one in Med Hat. International chefs day will be done with one in Leth and one in Med Hat. There will now be 3 seminars per year and one less meeting. So one in late Oct which will entail food, one in Late Feb which will entail Business or produces, nd one in Late Apr which will be alcohol. National Conference for 2012 will be in Halifax from June 2 -6. Whoop up days - Aug 23 - trailer outside Plum restaurant. Doug will let us know more details soon. Alberta Food Service Expo - October 2 and 3. Good time for competition.
